An average website came often go up within two weeks or perhaps longer if it is more complicated.

The costs vary widely between what you want to do with the site, a simple site can be quite cheap, but a more complicated site with SEO work and content can be markedly more expensive. Just give us a shout and we can give you a more concrete example.
